Obama and the Unclear Summit
I was watching an old TV program by Carl Sagan where he consulted the galactic computer about how worlds were created and destroyed. Sort of Grim but Carl was just that way. He checked out the Earth and found that we had destroyed ourselved with global thermo nuclear weapons. He was so concered with it that he missed the possibly greater threat of climate failure. It is always the little things isn’t it? Watch it from HULU.com
This summit is to stop people who will do anything to get nuclear weapons like IRAN to stop doing it? So why do it? Getting china to side with us must have been a feat of magic or money, not sure which. How do you contain a country who is scared from within, from its young aggressive population and from without from other powers in the area? Does it make any sense? Why would they give up an advantage? They would have to be getting something much better. But what? Only time will tell.

It’s morning again in America.
Today more men and women will be out of work than any time since the great depression.
Even with interest savings rates at record lows, families are paying more interest than ever on their credit cards.
Nearly 2000 families will loose their homes today more than anytime in the past four years.
This afternoon more than 6500 young men and women will have to put off marriage for deployments, job layoffs and lack of money to pay for the wedding.
Even with inflation less than half what it was just four years ago, food and housing are still the biggest items in people’s weekly budget.
It is morning again in America
and under the leadership of President Bush
our country is more poor, and more dispised and more of a target then ever,.
Why would we ever want to return to where we were
those four short years ago?
President Obama, you have your work cut out for you.
Ben Franklin was right about the Turkey
I was just watching the Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial and it was as awful as those things get. The stars were stiff and the music was good for some and just horrible for others.
The lowest moment is when they trotted out these two poor bald eagles and made them spread their wings. The birds tried to fly away but couldn’t because they were tethered or something. How is it that our national bird is something to be displayed at special occasions and not something that is seen all the time. Wouldn’t it have been wonderful if they could have let the birds fly free to some warm southern destination. Now that is freedom.
I think I am on Ben Franklin’s side. He wanted the national bird to be the Turkey. I know it is majestic watching a bald eagle swoop down and grab a salmon out of a river. But isn’t the site of a well prepared turkey on a thanksgiving plate very American too?
The truth about obama: The NY cover was just not funny
How is it possible that the New Yorker Magazine got the Obama cover just so wrong? They meant to make fun of what some people thought about Obama, but they just forgot that most people think they are true. Maybe in NYC they were laughing at the cover but the folks who shop at Wal Mart are not going to buy the New Yorker and the only thing they are going to know abou the publication is the image. The image of Obama and Michele the miltant, radical, girl panther, burning the flag is just not working.
First of all. Generally speaking Arabs do not wear turbines. They wear hijabs, fabric draped around the head and held in place with a band. They might be confused with sikhs who wear turbans in the more classic style.
It is just such a shame that they are not going to read the article.
